Hanging out in Soho

NOTsoBAD just released a new skybox, the Soho Loft. It is beautifully textured as you might expect from one of the leading prefab shops. What makes it particularly spectacular is THE VIEW. Now anyone who has lived in a lot of spots (especially the mainland) knows that the neighborhood is often problematic. You move into a nice place, quiet, picturesque, classy -- and in a week or two you have a club next door or a circus -- or a RECREATIONAL PARADISE *sigh*. So being able to control your environment is a glorious thing.

The skybox proper is 30 x 20. It has a faux basement when you view it from the outside. The neighbors you never see (or hear) live there I guess. There is a fireplace with decor items, some tasteful city style art and recessed lighting. Antique pipes appear here and there to give it that authentic remodeled atmosphere. The warm colors give you a feeling of home. The open spaces can accommodate most any need.

There is even a fire escape. Well what would a Soho loft be without a fire escape? Note the shadows  flowing across the brickwork. Attention to detail shows.

In order to house you skybox IN the city, you will need a bit of room or neighbors that don't care if you lap over your land lines a bit way up there at 3000 meters. The environment is housed in a large half circle dome. I didn't find details on its size but it could be as much as a quarter of a sim. Since this is a fairly low prim build (151) it would likely work well -- environment and all -- on a quarter of a homestead. You would still have plenty of prims with which to decorate.

My outfit is very Fall and very New York even though it comes from Paris Metro. The sweater includes a sculpted stomach prim which didn't work that well for me, but I love the color, cuffs and pattern.

The pants have wide trimmed bell-bottoms and there are plenty of small details that are difficult to see unless you are up close and personal. This is a hunt prize on the Elf Hunt.
